Chromebooks Now Come With Minecraft Education Edition

Microsoft has released the education edition of its blocky game Minecraft to Chromebooks just at the right time to allow students to return to school.



The Minecraft Education Edition for Chromebook will be available on Monday. It comes with the same features as the Windows and iPad versions, as well multiplayer across platforms according to the company. Roof info The version for education is designed to assist educators in teaching everything from science technology engineering and math (STEM), to language, history, and art. The program has been endorsed by thousands of teachers in more than 115 countries according to Microsoft.



Microsoft announced that the game is now available on Chromebooks and that the latest update includes new STEM lessons as well as an "special Minecraft world" created by the American Beekeeping Federation's Kids and Bees Program.



Minecraft Education Edition for Chromebook requires an Microsoft account to sign in -- the game is licensed by schools through Microsoft 365 for Education -however, the company says it is working to let users log in with an account on Google account, too.
