The foam sheets are available in a multitude of colors and styles, like glittery ones, at any craft store. Use cookie cutters, pictures cut from coloring books or other patterns to create the designs you want. Cut a length of twine - even two or three lengths. The twine should be very small in diameter if you're using more than one piece. Cut a large design, then a smaller one, and even another one, if you want. Stack the shapes then poke two holes in each one. Thread the cord up through the bottom of the hole, across the shapes, then down through the opposite hole. Space the foam pieces evenly across the belt or butt them together. Tie the cords on the side to secure the belt.<br /><br />If I had known, I would have spent more time just "being" with the kids! Just laying down on the floor and "being" in God's presence. Now, I do that a lot - and the other day my 6-year old granddaughter grabbed a pillow and blanket and told me, "Grandma, you lay down and I'm going to sing to you." Making me comfortable and warm, she began to rub my back and from her heart burst forth this simple childlike melody. The words were right from God's heart.<br /><br />I use this during "downtime" at work. I can't pull out a paperback and read it at my desk, so with the Amazon Kindle app, I can discretely read a novel at my desk with no one being the wiser.<br /><br />Often, part of what makes a resort lovely is having a good beach. Whether you prefer pebbles to sand is entirely your own choice, but somewhere you can relax and enjoy the warmth is always important. |
