Counter Strike New Revealed

After weeks of rumors, Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's an update for CS:GO that will put the game on the Source 2 engine and make some major visual changes.

It also brings sub-tick server updates as well as responsive smoke grenades. It's made many armchair gamers go crazy but it's actually an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an overhaul that will fundamentally alter the method of using smokes in the game. The changes are being described as responsive smokes and will be a significant game changer. Smokes will now expand to fill in spaces naturally and move around different objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting in the game, making their appearance more appealing and realistic. Smokes will also to interact with game events. This will provide new tactical possibilities. For instance, bullets could cause smoke to temporarily make clear sightlines, while hex grenade explosions will disperse smoke occlusion.

The most significant change to smokes is that they'll be a more dynamic part of the game. Smokes in previous versions were fixed-shaped objects that had a limited ability to move and blocking. The smokes are now able to expand to take up the space they're in and hinder the player's view when they are in the area. This is a significant improvement that will make the game more exciting and provide both teams with the same level of visibility.

Additionally, smokes will now react to the environment as well as weaponry and lighting in the world. This makes the smoke appear more real and allow players to use it in different ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This will be especially useful during the chaotic matches that are expected to occur on every map.

Smokes are no longer one-way. This was a major problem in CSGO, since it allowed players to see the position of their opponent from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a renowned CS:GO professional who believes the new system will make CS2 more fair for both teams.

Other minor enhancements include adjusting smoke particles vertically to reduce the visible edges, and updating spectators smoke overlay visuals so that they correspond to their camera's location. Also, the expiration of smokes has been revised to be more in with the visuals of how they fade on the screen.

Loadouts

The players of CS:GO are able to modify their weapon selection prior to the start of every game. The updated loadout system lets players to select the weapons that best fit their style of play and team's strategy. The updated system also adds new tactical depth to the game, as players must balance firepower and utility.

The CS: GO Update includes numerous other enhancements and changes in addition to the new loadouts. The buy menu was completely redesigned. The old buy wheel has been replaced by a grid that can be customized to show all the purchase options at once. The grid is populated with five pistols, as well as five "mid-tier weapons" such a submachine guns, shotguns, and rifles.

The new system is easy to use and gives players more control over their weapon selection. They can pick the weapons which best suit their style of play, team tactics and try out various combinations. They can also compare their gear with other players and observe how they stack up.

Many players have praised the flexibility, while others have criticized it for straying from the core essence Counter-Strike. They also expressed concern about how it would impact agents' skins and loadouts specific to the map based upon visibility.

Despite these criticisms the new loadout system will be tested more extensively in the coming months. It is possible that some of these issues may be addressed in future updates, so it is essential to keep an eye on the site for more details.

Workshop Tools are included in the update, and can be enabled from the settings menu. This lets community contributors design weapons finishes and stickers, as and maps. The update will also live the players who are in violation of VAC rules during matches.

The new CS: GO update is scheduled to release later this summer. For now, players can look over the complete list of features and updates by visiting the official CS: GO website.

Sub-Tick Updates

The server updates the world of Counter-Strike in discrete intervals of time known as ticks. The smallest gap between a tick and the mouse click of a player can influence a shot's accuracy, so Valve is working hard to ensure that CS: GO feels responsive and smooth. A new video shows the biggest improvements to the game, also known as sub tick updates.

Instead of a 64-tick update every millisecond, the CS: Go will now be able to use sub-ticks (or as Valve calls them, "micro-ticks") to communicate with the server. The client will keep track of each of these tiny increments and send them to the server. The server will then send the updated game state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment you fired your shot, jumped, peeked or made other inputs.

The video does not go over everything. However, it does explain that every piece of data sent by the client has a timestamp and that the server collects all information in chronological order from all players prior to sending it back. According to the video, a CS: GO will be capable of sending twice as much information as a 64-tick CS: GO.

This means that even if the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz, the game can still handle your commands instantly. Micro-tick updates can also reduce the time it takes to input by ensuring that the server responds to your actions without glitches or delays.

Valve's technological improvements to the game are only beginning. Valve is using particles and dynamic smoke to improve the way smoke interacts with its environment. It's upgrading all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to update all CS Cosmetics and weapons.

Maps

The next update for Counter Strike New brings new maps, as well as a few classics with facelifts. The updates are currently being tested in a limited-test beta. The first set of maps include upgrade and touchstone maps that will not see major changes to gameplay, while others have been fully renovated or redesigned using the new Source 2 tools.

Overpass is one of the maps that has been modified to take advantage the new engine's unified illumination system. The underpass of the map has been filled with daylight which makes the area more spacious and less congested. Additionally smoke grenades now expand dynamically to fill in spaces and interact with the new light.

Another map that's been overhauled is Italy that has been given an overhaul in texture, lighting and structure. The new version is also more balanced than its predecessor that was heavily CT-oriented. Fans can expect more classics, such as Aztec and Militia, to be revamped in the near future.

Although many of these maps remain playable in other modes, they're no longer added to the competitive map pool. cs2 cases is the exception since it was removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet decided whether the other maps taken from the pool will be reinstated.

Among the more controversial updates is one created by Helsingin Sanomat, Finland's national newspaper. The newspaper has been a vocal critic of Russia's actions in Ukraine, and the map takes inspiration from the city devastated by war, Donetsk. The map is called de_voyna, and features a number of references to the war.

The developer will release a set of Source 2 Tools for map makers in the near future. This will include features such as improved lighting and character reading, as well as physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also allow for easier implementation of real-world items, such as doors and windows. The update is set to be released sometime in the summer.
