Minecraft Education Edition Now Available On Chromebooks

Just just in time for a lot of students to go back to school, Microsoft is bringing the education version of its popular video game Minecraft to Chromebooks.

The game will be available on Monday, Minecraft: Education Edition for Chromebook comes with the same features of the Windows, iPad and Mac versions of the game, and includes multiplayer across platforms, the company stated. The version geared towards education of the game is intended to help educators teach everything from science, technologyengineering, and math (STEM) to language, history and art. According to Microsoft the game is licensed by thousands in more than 115 countries.

Microsoft announced that the game is now available on Chromebooks and that the most recent update features new STEM lessons as well as a "special Minecraft world" created by the American Beekeeping Federation's Kids and Bees Program. MINECRAFT SERVER LIST

Minecraft: Education Edition for Chromebook requires a Microsoft account to login -- the game is licensed by schools via Microsoft 365 for Education -however, the company says it's working on letting users log in with an account on Google account, too.
