NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% growth over 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States has been our most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we had record number of Israeli tourism entries each month.

Canada, which has 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 in August, isn't too much from the United States.

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was thrilling to see the Canadian tourism industry to Israel rebounding. We are still not away from our record-setting numbers for 2019, and we anticipate that this surge in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians feel more comfortable travelling across the world."

Israel welcomed over 4.6 million tourists in the year of 2019. 969,600 came from the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May was a success, with more than 600,000.
